Lady See Lady Do: Sleep Mask

    This Craft is a great one for a Valentines present for the light-sleeping man in your life.  Thats exactly what I made mine for last year and it was a big hit with the Gentleman!  

    

    I originally saw the craft at this lovely little blog Roubidou posted here complete with tutorial, although unfortunately the link is no longer working.  So, for your crafting pleasure I found another good tutorial here at Sew Tara. The biggest difference from this one and hers is the piping.  

    The key to making this for the men-folk is to swap out the cute-sy fabrics for more gentleman-ly ones and get creative with the design.  For mine I made a stencil of a rhino that I found online (image after the jump if you're interested) and embroidered the word "Charging" ... get it? charging? because when you're sleeping you're "charging"?? eh?? ... Well it still makes me giggle anyway.  :) 

    This was really one of my first times embroidering words, next time I know to use MUCH less embroidery floss!
